The wait is finally over, as Event #8 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $250,000 GTD) is now underway. The headlining event of the series is structured with 30,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (40) minutes during each of these opening flights (Levels 1-13). When the scheduled Day 2 action resumes (2:00pm on Sunday), those levels will transition to (50) minutes. Registration is open throughout each of the starting flights (from first card to bagging), and will continue to stay open through the first hand dealt on Day 2. All of the "player-favorites" are in play, including 9-handed tables, and the single big blind ante.
This is the first time that Card Player Poker Tour is being hosted here at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, so it will be very interesting to see the numbers that this event gets. Live blogged coverage of this event will be a little "different" this time around, as we introduce the tournament through the middle of today's action, before handing it off to Card Player Media's tournament team. Don't worry though...we will be back on Monday, bring followers of the blog the detailed final table coverage that they have come to know and love.
We will allow the field to fill up a little, before taking a look at some of the early notables in today's Flight 1A field.
