CPPT Main Event (Flight 1A): Cory Williams One Of The "Early Birds," Off A Deep WSOP Main Event Run

2018 Card Player Poker Tour (Isle Casino Pompano Park)
Event #8 | $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($250,000 GTD)
Level 2 (Blinds 100/100/100)
Total Event #8 Entries: 21

Cory Williams (Alva, FL) hasn't posted a result since his WSOP Main Event cash, but it still looks really nice on the resume, as he received over $57,000 for his 103rd place finish.

"Lemme get some of the WSOP money," a friend came over an said to Cory Williams (Alva, FL), who had just taken his seat at Table 9.  Cory's buddy was referencing his most recent tournament cash, running deep in the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em WSOP Main Event.  Williams was eliminated from the year's most prestigious tournament in 103rd place, which was good for $57,010.  The result was the largest of his tournament career, besting his final table finish the year prior, of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event at the Naples/Ft. Myers Greyhound Track ($33,440).

While Cory passed on the earlier events in this series, he wasn't going to let this Main Event pass, without at least putting in one entry.  Williams is joined in the Flight 1A field by some other familiar names, including:

Tracy Scala
Frank Scala
Anthony Utnage
Scott Zakheim
Steven Ibrahim
Stanton Drazen
Kenneth Bruno
Paul Shafran
