Isle Open Event #1 (Flight 1A): Michael Eddy Making Things Look Easy, Approaching 200,000

2018 Isle Open | Event #1
$200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 11 (Blinds 800/1,600/1,600)
Total Flight 1A Entries: 73
Flight 1A Players Remaining: 21

Michael Eddy (Hollywood, FL) has seen a lot of his focus go towards handicapping the ponies, with the occasional winning poker hand sprinkled in.

At Table 3, Michael Eddy (Hollywood, FL) opened the action from under-the-gun, with a raise to 5,000.  The next player went all-in for less (1,800), with action then folding around to Lloyd Gunther, who was in the big blind.  Gunther announced himself all-in (for just over 25,000), with Eddy immediately making the call:

Eddy: K♠ K♣
Gunther: A J♣
A. Nonymous: Q 3

Runout: J♠ 2♣ 9 4 Q♣

Eddy looked to be in great shape to send two players home, which is exactly what he did, after his kings held up through the runout.  Eddy is now over 175,000, and looks to become the first player to reach the 200,000 mark.

Michael Eddy - 178,000 (111bb)
