Isle Open Event #1 (Flight 1A): Silver Sends Alberto Niebla To The Rail, Assumes Overall Chip Lead

2018 Isle Open | Event #1
$200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 14 (Blinds 2,000/3,000/3,000)
Total Flight 1A Entries: 73
Flight 1A Players Remaining: 14

Harry Silver (Pompano Beach, FL) had a rough start to the day, but has taken advantage of his "second chance," choosing to re-enter shortly after being eliminated in Level 5.

Over at Table 3, Alberto Niebla open-shoved for 22,500, with Harry Silver then three-betting to 50,000.  Players took their time to fold behind, but eventually left the two to battle it out, with Silver holding a commanding lead when the cards were tabled:

Silver: A Q
Niebla: K Q♠

Runout: 7♠ 3♠ 2♠ 4 5

"I need a king please," Niebla kindly asked the dealer, after seeing the hand he was up against.  "Now I could use a spade," Alberto said aloud, once he flopped the flush draw.  The outs his desperately looked for never amounted on the turn or river, and Silver would collect Alberto's remaining chips.  With that pot, Silver chips up to 190,000, and takes over the top spot on the leaderboard.

Harry Silver - 190,000 (63bb)
