Francky Dumornay (Miami, FL) said he "knew that hand was going to win," regardless of that fact that he went into the runout as a massive underdog. |
The hand-for-hand process for swift...and that's how things are going to be moving forward here on Day 2 (until about 15-20 players remain). On the fourth hand of the hand-for-hand process, Scott Zakheim was all-in for 43,500, and would be called by Francky Dumonay (Miami, FL). While two players took their time when thinking about calling as well, they eventually folded their hands, and the cards would be tabled:
Zakheim: A♦ 10♣
Dumornay: 10♥ 9♥
Runout: 9♦ 5♠ 4♠ 9♣ 2♠
While Scott thought he was going to be in rough shape, he actually held a very commanding lead, once the cards found their backs. Francky, who came into the day third in chips, was fortunate to steal away the lead (with a nine on the flop). Scott would be drawing dead on the turn, but two other players would be eliminated on the very same hand, meaning the trio would split 152nd and 153rd places evenly.
Everyone in the remaining field is guarantee at least $175, but all eyes are on a handful of big numbers at the final table.
