Isle Open Event #6 (Flight 1A): Things Starting Off Slow, But That Hasn't Kept The Notables From Showing Up

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 6 (Blinds 300/500/500)
Total Flight 1A Entries: 31

Wearing his patented "Grumpy" hat, Joseph Duchman (Miami, FL) looks to ride the good run that he experienced last night, all the way to the Flight 1A bagging process.

Even for a Wednesday afternoon flight, the start is a little slower than expected...but, what can one expect from a Wednesday afternoon?  Regardless of the current field size, there is no lack of notable players, with each of the tables hosting a handful of recognizable faces.  One of the newest entries in the field was Joseph Duchman (Miami, FL), who took his seat at Table 1 just moments ago.  Joseph's late arrival may have to do with his finish in last night's Event #5 ($175 No Limit Hold'em $25,000 GTD).

Duchman fell just short of the tournament's final table, exiting in 13th place, and earning himself $506.  Joseph can add that to the $164,871 in earnings that he came into the event with, an impressive number for the "frequent flyer" at the Isle.  "Grumpy" headlines the notables in the Flight 1A field, sharing the felt (and tournament area) with:

Tom Gity
Paul Darpino
Rodney Moret-Rojas
Zaki Lichaa
Allan Bieler
Alexander Perez
Thomas Gari
Jamie Wiegrefe
Carey Pickus
Jason Atherley
