Sunday, October 28th: Third (And Final) Opening Flight Of The Isle Open Main Event Headlines Schedule

ICYMI: Yesterday was the second (of three) starting day of Event #11, the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Isle Open Main Event ($300,000 GTD). Day 1B would conclude with (56) entries in the field, of which (19) players bagged chips for Day 2.  Fresh off a multi-month trip to Europe, Rob Jonsson (Deerfield Beach, FL) returned to the Isle, only to bag the Day 1B chip lead (373,000).  Jonsson bagged over 100,000 more than his nearest competitor, who just happened to be one of the biggest names in tournament poker (Chino Rheem - 248,500). Rounding out the top five stacks from Day 1B were Noel Atherley (230,500), Mark Kerness (208,500), and Eduardo Christ (183,800).

The event's numbers now have a total of (132) entries, of which (49) players are headed to Day 2.  The prize pool heading to the final opening day sits at $178,200, and will likely reach the posted guarantee at some point this afternoon/evening.

Tournaments: Today is the final opportunity for players to join a "full day" of Event #11 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em $300,000 GTD), as registration is still open tomorrow, though the first three levels of the day.  With that being said, today is likely to be the busiest of all the "Main Event" days, as action kicks off (at 10:00am) with a $340 No Limit Hold'em Mega Satellite Into Event #11.  The satellite is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (25) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

The third opening day of Event #11 then follows, with the cards getting in the air at 12:00pm.  Players in the event sit down to starting stacks of 40,000 units, and will be playing levels that last (50) minutes during open registration (Levels 1-12).  On Day 2, once the first hand is dealt in Level 13, the length will then transition to (60) minutes (and stay that way throughout the event).  Each of the Day 1's are scheduled to play through Level 9, at which point, those players that remain with begin bagging their chips for Day 2 (Monday).  This was something that was integrated into the Main Event during last year's Isle Classic main, and players loved it.  There is no dinner break, so players begin action at 12:00pm, and are usually out of the door no later than 8:30-9:00pm. Registration is open through Level 12, so those players that don't bag chips on Day 1, are still eligible to enter (or re-enter) for the first three levels on Day 2.

The Isle Open schedule continues in the evening, with Event #12 ($130 No Limit Hold'em "Turbo Bounty" $5,000 GTD) getting underway at 6:00pm.  The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (15) minute levels, and registration that's open through Level 10 (and the break that follows).  There is a $25 bounty for each player elimination, which is included in the prize pool, and counts towards the guarantee.

Promotions: The high hand period runs from 10:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-3:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
