Ory Hen (Cooper City, FL) fell one spot short of an Event #15 final table chop (Rock N Roll Poker Open), but knows that these are the things that happen in tournament poker. |
Ory Hen (Cooper City, FL) has been around the tournament game for a long time, so he's experienced most every situation that could occur. Just a few days ago, he entered the final table of the $150 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD) event at the Rock N' Roll Poker Open, second to last in chips. While that seems like a detriment, the stack sizes were such, that he was just a few big blinds away from a handful of other players. Regardless, Ory got his stack in with A♠ 10♠ against K♥ K♣, and ended up busting in 9th place.
Just a few moments after his elimination, the remaining players began discussing a deal, eventually agreed to an ICM chop. Now busting a tournament always stings, but when the proceedings conclude the minute you walk away from the table, all the lost equity hurts a little more. Like we mentioned though, Ory is the "pro's pro," and likely put it behind him, before reaching his car to go home. The $2,117 he won for ninth place brings his lifetime earnings to $1,471,728, making his tournament resume, one of the most impressive in the room.
