Kimberly Jones (Pompano Beach, FL) came into the day as one of the shorter stacks in the field, but hit a miracle river to double her stack.

As mentioned to start the day, "speed" was going to be the name of the game, as we watched the field lose five players in the first fifteen minutes of play.  Kimberly Jones (Pompano Beach, FL) looked to be the sixth player to depart the tournament area, but found a fortunate river to double up and stay alive.  Jones was all-in with K♥ Q♠, on a board of A♦ Q♥ 4♣ 7♣, needing a lot of help against A♠ K♥.  The Q fell on the river though, securing the double for Jones, bringing her stack to just under 100,000.  Jones is still in the danger zone (with less than fifteen bigs), but is happy to have the opportunity to reach the money.
