Monday, January 21st: Holiday Headlined By Day 2 Of The $140 No Limit Hold'em "Bankroll Builder" ($75,000 GTD)...And An Afternoon $5,000 GTD

ICYMI: Yesterday's schedule hosted the final pair of starting flights for the $140 No Limit Hold'em "Bankroll Builder" ($75,000 GTD).  As expected, it was the busiest day of the tournament, with a combined total of (263) entries between the two flights.  Flight 1G attracted a total of (136) entries, with (17) players reaching the bagging process (which came after Level 18).  Flight 1H then had registration close with (127) entries, of which (21) players bagged chips (at the conclusion of Level 18).

The official numbers for the "Bankroll Builder" saw a total of (813) entries over the eight opening flights, with (98) players returning for action this afternoon (at 12:00pm).  One player did bag twice, so the smallest stack was removed from player (so the actual total of players to bag was 99).  The prize pool cruised past the guarantee, and closed at $86,991.  A total of (81) players are scheduled to reach the money, with a min-cash worth ($245), and the eventual winner scheduled to take home $16,171.

Tournaments: Today's tournament schedule begins with one of the best valued afternoon tournaments in the South Florida area.  At 11:00am, the cards get in the air for the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) event.  The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 10.  The extended registration period allows players that are interested in joining the action, the opportunity to arrive up until approximately 3:00pm.

At 12:00pm, the (98) players to have bagged chips for the "Bankroll Builder" Day 2 will return to action.  Play will continue with (20) minute levels, and will move swiftly once the first hand of the day is dealt.

In the evening time slot (6:00pm), we have the $90 No Limit Hold'em ($1,500 GTD) event.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 15,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At the end of registration, the remaining players have the opportunity to add-on, with a single ($20) or double ($40) option.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
