Players were informed just a few moments ago, that the next break (which is in just over an hour), will be their dinner break. The dinner break will last for (45) minutes (from 6:15-7:15pm), and will be the only extended break of the day.
Jason Young (Suffern, NY) came into Day 2 with a stack that was in the top third of those returning, but began the day trending in the wrong direction. A few levels into the money, Young was all-in for just over 125,000, and at risk for his tournament. Jason was flipping with A♥ K♥ against 10♠ 10♣, and was fortunate to flop an ace, which ended up being good enough to win the hand (he made two pair on the turn for good measure). From that point on, it's been a steady rise for the WSOP bracelet winner, now sitting with the largest stack in the field.

Claudemir Osorio and Rafael Fernandes traveled together from the Tampa-area to this tournament, and both succeeded in their first goal (bagging chips). Rafael bagged 187,000 for Day 2, with Osorio coming into the day short of chip average, with 112,000.
On the money bubble, Rafael got it in with K♠ K♥ versus K♦ K♣, having his opponent covered. The board would run out 10♦ 9♦ 2♦ Q♦ 5♣ though, and Rafael would be left with just over 60,000. Both players have seen success since that point though, with Osorio well above chip average (650,000), and Fernandes right on the number (430,000). The pair are very accomplished tournament players, and seemed poised to make a deep run, something neither has experienced here at the Isle Poker Room.

Matthew Ehrlich's shirt isn't the only eye-popping thing at his table...his chip stack is also raising some eyebrows. Ehrlich came into Day 2 fifth in chips (296,000), and has spent a majority of his day increasing that number. Although the action in the hand was missed, Ehrlich just won a massive pot to eclipse the 1,000,000 chip mark, leading the field by a pretty large margin.

Ehrlich is back in action after a short time off, having earned over $100,000 in tournament cashes from 2007-2010, but then having a gap with no results from 2011-2015. Matthew won a tournament earlier this year at Hard Rock ($350 No Limit Hold'em Bounty - $4,000), and is clearly "back."
Matthew, along with the remaining (54) players, will be heading on their second break of the day (at the end of this level). Action will resume in Level 23, with blinds of 10,000/20,000/3,000 (375,000 chip average).

At Table 3, Evan Teitelbaum (Parkland, FL) opened the action with a raise to 33,000. Bob McLaughlin had just doubled up the hand prior, and decided he wanted to try for back-to-back doubles, three-bet shoving for 127,000. After getting the exact count, Teitelbaum would make the call, seeing that he was racing for a pot worth over twenty bigs. Evan's 2♠ 2♥ held a slight lead against the A♦ K♦ of McLaughlin, but the 10♠ 4♣ 2♥ flop would give him an all but insurmountable lead. McLaughlin was drawing dead on the turn, eliminated from play in 64th place ($361), while Teitelbaum chipped up to 470,000.

| James Orphanos (Boca Raton, FL) |
"I call...I'm just bored," James said to Couden as he put the chips on the felt. Couden then turned over A♥ 7♥, up against the 9♥ 9♠ or Orphanos. Joseph wouldn't flop any pairs, but he did gain extra outs with the K♥ 8♠ Q♥ flop. Three of Couden's outs were taken away after the 9♦ on the turn, and after the 5♠ completed the board on the river, Joseph would end up the tournament's "bubble boy."
The rest of the field is now in the money, with everyone remaining earning at least $172. Everyone's eyes are on the top prize though, which sees the eventual winner taking home $21,782 (unless there is a chop).

Camillo Poerio (Coconut Creek, FL) entered Day 2 as the shortest stack of the (155) to return, with only 4,500 in chips. Even after managing to make it through the first ten minutes of the day, Camillo would still have a tough task in front of him, sitting with one big blind. Poerio has managed to turn that 4,500 stack into 35,000, and is only a handful of eliminations from reaching the money. If he were to cash in the tournament, it would be a really special accomplishment.

Sunday, August 27th: Players Return For Day 2 Of The "August $100,000," Playing Down To A Winner
ICYMI: Saturday was the final day for players to try and bag chips for Day 2 of the "August $100,000," with action kicking off at 11:00am with Flight 1G. The flight would attract a total of (170) entries, with a mixture of players making the appearance for the first time, and others trying to bag after multiple efforts. After sixteen full levels were played, (23) players would enter the bagging process, led by Tony Ruberto (275,000). Ruberto bought into the flight towards the end of registration, and after spending a few levels slowly increasing his stack, he caught fire towards the end of the day. Other notables to bag from Flight 1G included Alan Munoz (258,500), Jason Young (184,500), Frank Traino (152,000), and Kimberly Jones (57,500).
The final of eight starting flights got underway at 6:00pm, and ended up being the second largest of all the flights, as registration closed with (198) total entries. It was the last opportunity for players to find a Day 2 bag, so the action was fast and furious throughout the night. The storyline from the flight was Mike Jones (Boca Raton, FL), who ended up bagging the flight's chip lead (474,000), heading a group of (26) players to reach Day 2. Mike Jones' bag would end up being the largest of the (154) returning this afternoon.
Those (154) players are coming back at 12:00pm, from a combined total of 1,126 entries. The "August $100,000" was just another, in a long list of successful tournaments hosted here at the Isle Casino Poker Room as of recent. The prize pool closed a $129,490, besting the posted guarantee by almost $30,000, and offering up a first place prize of $21,782.
Tournaments: Those (154) players return to action for Day 2 at 12:00pm, with the tournament scheduled to play down to a winner. The only change in structure for the day is the transition to (30) minute levels, which will stay that way for the duration of the event.
For those players looking for a "second chance," or others just wanted some different tournament action, the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Hard Stop, ICM Chop" event gets underway at 6:00pm. The tournament's biggest appeal, and what players have come to love, it the fact that the event will be over shortly after midnight (each and every time its played in the evening time slot).
Promotions: For a number of months, Sunday's high hand promotion has been of the "turbo" format, with $300 awarded every (15) minutes from 2:00pm-9:00pm (rollovers apply). While that promotion is still in place this afternoon, there will be an extra six hours of "turbo" high hands, with $100 awarded every (10) minutes, from 8:00am-2:00pm (rollovers apply). However you break it down, it's $600 worth of high hands up for grabs over the span of (13) hours. Both tournaments are high hand eligible, adding even more appeal to the events.
