ICYMI: Last night's tournament action began just after 6:00pm, with cards getting in the air for our $150 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD).  Eclipsing the century mark is no longer surprising for this event, with last night's field growing to (108) entries.  A total of fourteen players were scheduled to earn a piece of the $12,420 prize pool, with the tournament concluding in a four-way chop.

It was just a few weeks ago, that we were lauding the excellent form of Darkhan Botabayev...a name that seemingly came out of nowhere.  He topped the deal, taking home $1,326 for first place (along with any bounties).  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Tournaments:  The buzz surrounding tournament poker at the Isle Pompano Park poker room is electric, after yesterday's announcement regarding the $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish."  While we wait for that event's introduction, the tournament action kicks back off tonight, with the $150 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD).  The action begins at 6:00pm, with the structure seeing players sit down to 15,000 unit starting stacks.  Levels will last (20) minutes over the course of the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the short break that follows).

Wednesday, February 24th: Adding Something Fresh To The Tournament Schedule, As Monday Gets To Host The "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD)

ICYMI: With the recent success of daily tournament poker at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, a new event was bound to make it's way to the schedule.  The management team wanted to make a splash, but also wanted to bring a product that was fresh and forward thinking.  

Please welcome the newest daily tournament to the schedule...every Monday...at 6:00pm, a $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD).  The event is structured with 20,000 chip starting stacks, (25) minute levels, and has open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now eight-handed):

Monday, February 15th: Tabares And Botabayev Chop The "Monster Stack," Capping Off A Special "Weekend Swing"

ICYMI: After Saturday night's record-breaking showing, one could only imagine was Sunday's event was going to bring.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) is another tournament that has been trending with players, and yesterday's numbers showed just that.  A total of (81) entries showed on the clock at registration's end, equating to an extremely healthy $8,100 prize pool.  Before we get to the results, it's important to point out one of the more attractive features of the event...it's a great payday, and you're likely home at a reasonable hour (for a work night).

Monday, February 8th: Kalgstein And Buggs Chop Sunday's "Monster Stack," With A New Week Of Action Underway!

ICYMI: One would think that Super Bowl Sunday would hurt the numbers for yesterday's $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD)...but that just wasn't the case.  The action got underway at 3:00pm, and by the time registration for the tournament closed, the tournament clock read (71) entries.  That equated to a $7,100 prize pool, which was more than double the posted guarantee that was on the event.  A total of nine players reached the money, with the final table ending in a heads-up chop, between Rick Kalgstein and Christopher Buggs.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Sunday, February 7th: Should Breaking Records Even Be A Surprise Anymore...Tournaments At The Isle Are Crushing!

ICYMI: Saturday's tournament had been known as the best value event on the weekly schedule, offering up sizable prize pools for a $100 buy-in.  For a span of a few months, the tournament carried a $3,000 guarantee, and consistently surpassed that number.  The poker room management team recognized that, and decided to make things even more attractive...making the guarantee $5,000.

ICYMI: We frequently mention how popular all of the weekly tournaments are becoming, but Friday night's $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD), has firmly held the title of "headliner."  Last night's installment attracted a total of (111) entries, and an official prize pool of $12,765.  That's one of the best turnouts we've seen, with (14) players lucky enough to grab their share of the prize pool.  With the payouts as healthy as they were, players at the final table weren't too quick to agree to a deal.  It wasn't until heads-up play was reached, that a chop a finalized.  Antanael Thomas (Palm Springs, FL) took home first place money in the deal, which was worth $3,194.  Official results from last night's event are listed below:
