Isle Open Championship (Day 1C): Avery Bass Off To Quick Start, With Field Heading On First Break

2017 Isle Open | Event #21
$1,500 No Limit Hold'em Isle Open Championship| $500,000 GTD
Level 4 (Blinds 150/300/50)
Total Day 1C Entries: 94

Avery Bass (Atlantic Beach, FL) is just over a year removed from his last five-figure score, chopping Event #9 ($360 No Limit Hold'em) of last year's Isle Open ($49,363).

The timing was perfect as we passed by Table 4, as a big pot was playing out between Avery Bass, James Orphanos, and Andrew Morales.  The players were on the turn of a board reading K♠ 10♠ 9♣ 4♣, with Orphanos firing out a bet of 7,000 (into a pot over 12,000).  Andrew Morales made the call, with both players watching as Avery Bass announced himself all-in.  After getting a better idea of what it would cost him to call (approximately 39,000 more), Orphanos tossed his hand into the muck.

"You're going to bet out for 7,000 and then fold," Morales said Orphanos, just moments before tossing his hand into the muck.  Bass would flash his hand (Q♣ J) as the dealer was pushing him the pot, having flopped a straight.

Avery Bass - 80,000 (266bb)

Players are about to take their first break of the day, and will be returning to Level 4, with new blinds of 150/300/50 (32,100 chip average).
