On the first hand of the final table, action folded around to Richard Wetter, who was on the button. Wetter opened the action for a small raise, and watched as Greg Rosen three-bet shoved from the big blind (for less than ten bigs). Wetter made the call, and the hands would be tabled, with Rosen holding A♠ 8♠ against Wetter's K♠ Q♠. The 9♠ 5♥ 5♣ flop was a clean one for Rosen, but the turn would bring the K♥, stealing the lead away. There would be no miracle ace on the river, and Rosen would end up the first player eliminated from this final table (earning $2,625).
