BATB Event #14 ($1,500 NLH Championship): Schwartz Comes From The Land Down Under

2018 Battles At The Beach
Event #14 | $1,500 NLH Championship ($500,000 GTD)

Level 4 (Blinds 150/300/50) | Structure
Total Flight 1A Entries: 59

Jake Schwartz (New York, NY) spent close to a month in the land of kangaroos and Vegemite, but it now back in the comforts of one of the poker rooms he call home.

Sitting in the field just before break (which was after Level 2) was Jake Schwartz (New York, NY), a tournament veteran with over $1,407,000.  When a player has been around for a handful of years, and reaches WPT final table...and WSOP final tables...it's not often that they accomplish something for the first time.  Just over a month ago, that would change for Schwartz, as he recorded his first cash in the Aussie Millions series (adding the Australian flag to his Hendon Mob resume).  Jake ran deep in the A$2,250 No Limit Hold'em Six-Max event, finishing in 15th place, and earning A$7,085 ($5,687).  Schwartz was sharing the felt with travel-mate Matt Smith, who has since been moved to Table 6, in order to balance.

The long list of late arriving notables grows, with the following player showing up over the last hour of play:

Jose Parra
TJ Shulman
Matthew Lambrecht
Vincent Aloi
Gail Lutin
Sheldon Gross
Keith Nassetta
