With the most recent entry into the field (#170), the overall number of entries has eclipsed that of last year (before Day 2 entries were added). We are expecting some more entries this evening, so it's very possible that we can reach the total number from last year (which was 548, after the Day 2 buy-ins were included). If that's not the case, there will for sure be a group of players that will buy in tomorrow afternoon, giving us the largest field since 2015 (when the tournament became a $1,500 buy-in event).
