FSPC Event #4 (Flight 1B): Raminder Singh Dealing With Different Competition

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #4 | $360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 6 (Blinds 300/500/500)
Total Flight 1B Entries: 102

Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) is a "household" name here at the Isle Poker Room, but got some national television action last week, seated next to Patrick Antonious at the WSOP Main Event.

Just over a week ago, Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) was seen on national television coverage of the WSOP $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event, sitting next to Patrick Antonious.  Patrick was one of the early chip leaders at the time, and happened to be to Singh's direct left.  That doesn't make for an easy day of poker, with a player of that class there to react first to your every move.  Singh fell short of the Main Event money, but is back in action here for Event #4, getting a double up just moments ago.

On a flop of 2♠ 3♣ 5, Singh shoved for 11,000, over a 2,000 wager from Jay Romano.  Jay went into the tank, visibly unsure about what Raminder could be shoving with.  Eventually he would make the call, tabling J♠ 4♣ (open-ended straight draw), up against Singh's Q 3 (pair of threes).  The turn would bring the Q♠, taking away all of the pair outs for Romano.  The dealer then placed down the 8♠ on the river, sealing Singh's double-up, and bringing his stack to just under 25,000.

Raminder Singh - 24,400
