FSPC Event #9 (Flight 1C): Albert Destrade Playing On His Own Terms, But Still Has The Same Goal

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #9 | $1,100 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 5 (Blinds 200/400/400)
Total Flight 1C Entries: 60

Albert Destrade (Plantation, FL) sits down to the tables with something on his resume that nobody else can match...time spent on the hit reality show Survivor.

Albert Destrade (Plantation, FL) has a Twitter handle of @Zero_Votes, which references his time on the hit reality show Survivor.  Destrade was on Survivor: South Pacific, and ended up reaching the final three, but ended up receiving zero votes at the final tribal council (hence his Twitter handle).  After returning from Samoa, Destrade shifted his focus on poker, which has been a pretty successful venture for him.  While his time is spent more at the cash tables, Albert does have just under $180,000 in lifetime tournament earnings, including an Isle Classic Main Event win (2015 $1,200 No Limit Hold'em Main Event, worth $105,000).  His last Isle Poker tournament cash came back in 2015, when he bubbled the final table of Event #8 ($350 No Limit Hold'em), during the Florida State Poker Championships (11th place for $4,633).

It's been a little while since we've seen Destrade at the tournament tables, with his last result coming in November of last year ($2,500 No Limit Hold'em Borgata Fall Poker Open Championship Event).  While his fate in today's tournament may not fully be under his control, Destrade doesn't have to worry about anyone at the table voting him off.  Albert headlines a list of late arriving players to the Flight 1C field, joining the likes of:

Sean Shah
Antoine Bahi
Ray Millard
AJ Gambino
Kevin Chan
Anthony Utnage
