FSPC Event #9 (Flight 1C): New Faces In The Crowd, Drazen Almost A Year Removed From Dream Run

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #9 | $1,100 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 3 (Blinds 100/200/200)
Total Flight 1C Entries: 37

Dylan Drazen (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) lived a poker player's dream, winning a satellite into one of the biggest events of the year, and turning that into a score worth over a half-million dollars.

There are few differences in today's flight, with the pace well ahead of the first two flights (which was expected), and a bunch a new faces to the Florida State Poker Championships.  One of those players in today's field (that is in action for the first time this series) is Dylan Drazen (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), who is about a year removed from a life changing score.

Dylan entered a $560 No Limit Hold'em satellite into last year's SHRPO $5,250 No Limit Hold'em Championship Event, and was able to earn a seat into the prestigious event.  That was the beginning of what turned into a wild ride for Drazen, as he reached the live streamed final table.  At that point, he was guaranteed over $75,000, which was already going to be a career best cash.  It went much further than that though, as Dylan got heads-up for the title, but fell to Martin Kozlov.  The result was still a dream though, as Drazen earned over $528,000 for second place, essentially changing his life.

Drazen's tournament volume has been down since the score, but he still plays the prestigious events in the area, as well as events during the WSOP.  Some other players in the field for the first time this series include:

Matthew Lambrecht
Drew Johnson
Eric Polirer
Paul Balzano
Rayan Nahle
Stuart Elkin

Players are heading on their first break of the day at the end of this level. returning to Level 4, and new blinds of 200/300/300.
