Flight 1E would conclude with (18) players remaining, led by Marcin Plewinski, who ended up bagging 408,500. For most of the day, it looked like Edgar Ostor was going to run away with the chip lead bonus, but Marcin showed up strong after the flight's final break. Plewinski just edged out Michael Marks for the free Event #9 seat, with the multi-flight tournament specialist (Marks) bagging an impressive 386,500.
Flight 1F was also close in the waning moments, but it would be Noe Acosta bagging the chip lead, topping the (21) players that reached the bagging process. Acosta packed up 373,500 for Monday's Day 2, besting Chad Haas (339,500) by only a small margin.
Yesterday's numbers brought the combined total to (778) entries for Event #1, and helped the prize pool grow to $105,030. There are still two flights remaining, before all of the players that successfully bagged chips return tomorrow (at 12:00pm).
Tournaments: Today's schedule hosts the final pair of opening flights for Event #1 (of the 2018 Florida State Poker Championship). These are the final opportunities to join the action, with players that bag chips returning tomorrow, for Day 2 action. Registration for each flight is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows, allowing almost four hours for players to join the action. The "chip lead bonus" is back, as each of the flight's chip leaders will earn a seat into Event #9, which is an $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD).
