$75 No Limit Hold'em
Level 9 (Blinds 400/800/100)
Flight 1G Players Remaining: 119/239
Michael Scheinberg (Miami, FL) |
Flight 1G registration is now officially closed, and the final number for the 11:00am flight is (239) entries. That is $12,667 going towards the combined prize pool, which now sits over $61,000. There are still two more flights scheduled for the afternoon/evening, with tonight's expected to be the largest of the nine. The idea of a prize pool that ends up over $80,000-$90,000 is not as much of a stretch to think.
Ray Garcia still sits with a top three stack in the field, but it's now Michael Scheinberg (Miami, FL) who holds the chip lead. Scheinberg is over 150,000, and would be considered a real favorite to be around when the "race of the chip lead bonus" gets serious. Scheinberg works in finance, with a schedule that doesn't allow much time for poker during the week. If there is a Saturday starting flight for a sizable tournament, Scheinberg is usually in attendance. He has over $27,000 in career tournament earnings, including a runner-up finish over Memorial Day Weekend in a $120 No Limit Hold'em event ($2,339). We've seen how "fickle" the leaderboard has been over the first six starting flights, so it's still wide open for those interested in earning the extra $500 "bonus."
Michael Scheinberg - 155,000
Ray Garcia - 110,000
Mike Spadafore - 88,000
Hector Pacheco - 60,000
Will Cusella - 55,000
Diane Linke - 50,000
