The currently chip leader in the Flight 1C field is Nissim Gozlan, who sits with just over 80,000 in front of him. Gozlan enters the day with $135,678 in career earnings, and is coming off the largest score of his tournament career. Nissim made a run in the WSOP $10,000 Main Event, finishing in 604th place for $20,411. While some players feel "burned out" by the time the WSOP summer ends, a run in the main usually helps in renewing the tournament poker passion. Gozlan has been extremely talkative at the table, along with very active, which has helped him amass his stack.
Play is about to enter Level 6, with blinds going up to 150/300/50 (25,556 chip average). There will be a short break at the end of the level, with play shifting to (50) minute levels when the cards are back in the air.
