Bryce McVay (Jupiter, FL)

As we were scanning the room for some of the larger early stacks, we just happened to pass a multi-way all-in unfolding.  Three players had chips in front of them, including Bryce McVay and John Magnetta.  The third (and unknown) player in the hand had both McVay and Magnetta covered, and when the hands were tabled, it would be McVay in third place.

Bryce held A♥ 8♥ agains the A♦ J♦ of A. Nonymoous, and the A♠ Q♣ of Magnetta, who seemed very surprised to see that he held the best of it.  The 10♦ 6♠ 7♥ flop missed each of the players, but Bryce did gain some equity with the straight draw...which he would hit right on the turn (9♥).  The turn would also give him outs to the nut-flush, meaning A. Nonymous was the only player drawing live, to a non-heart eight.  The river would bring the 2♠, sealing the pot for McVay, who chipped up above 40,000.  

John Magnetta would be eliminated in the hand, but would re-enter the flight just a few moments later.
