"Single-Day Series II:" Jaffe Takes Commanding Lead After Eliminating Andrew Touchette In 4th Place ($6,210)

Andrew Touchette (Wakefield, MA)

Andrew Touchette (Wakefield, MA) was one of the shortest stacked players coming into the tournament's final table, but managed to grind his way up to 600,000 (which was his peak for the day).  With the blinds 10,000/25,000, Touchette opened to 60,000, with Jonathan Jaffe next to act (on the button).  Jaffe would three-bet to 160,000, and after Burbick and O'Hara folded, Touchette shoved.  Although Touchette's 600,000 stack equaled more than half of Jaffe's stack, he would make the call, well ahead with Q♠ Q against Andrew's J J♣.

The runout would bring no help to Touchette, who would be eliminated in fourth place, adding $6,210 to his career earnings (which were just over $300,000 coming into the day).
