Isle Classic Event #10 (Day 2): Holzberg Cracks Rakusa's Pocket Aces, Finds Himself The Chip Leader

2017 Isle Classic | Event #10
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 23 (Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000)
Total Event #10 Entries: 679
Event #10 Players Remaining: 22

Jason Holzberg (Plainview, NY) went from middle of the pack to chip leader, in the matter of one hand, causing Andre Rakusa's collapse.

The action at Table 3 was caught on the flop, in a hand between Jason Holberg (Plainview, NY) and Andre Rakusa.  With the Q♠ 3♣ 4 flop on the felt, Holzberg checked-raised Andre Rakusa, who had continued for 41,000.  Jason put aside the 41,000, and added three blue chips (worth 25,000 each) on top, before pushing the 116,000 stack across his cards.  Rakusa would then sit still for about thirty seconds, before announcing that he was all-in (for over 840,000).  Once Holzberg made the call, we'd have a pot worth close to 1,500,000, with the hands about to be tabled.  Andre showed A♠ A♣, but was behind the Q 4 of Holzberg.  The turn and river would bring Andre no help, and he'd see his top five stack chopped down to just over 100,000.

Jason Holzberg - 1,570,000 (78bb)
Andre Rakusa - 115,000 (5bb)

Andre Rakusa was eliminated just a few hands later.
