Isle Classic Event #10 (Day 2): William Underdown Takes Out Two

2017 Isle Classic | Event #10
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 20 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000)
Total Event #10 Entries: 679
Event #10 Players Remaining: 46

William Underdown (Deerfield Beach, FL) is one of a small group of players that are pushing the 1,000,000 chip mark.

The timing was perfect, as Table 3 was approached just as one of the largest pots of the event was playing out.  Nassim Gozlan had opened to 20,000, with Bryan Rosen three-bet shoving for 150,000.  Two players folded behind, leaving the action on William Underdown, who took some time before flatting.  Gozlan also flatted the 150,000, leaving himself just 20,000 behind, as the three players saw a flop of 7 7♠ 4♠.  Underdown checked to Gozlan, who said aloud, "You're going to check that...I'm all-in, I want to go home."

William made the call, and watched as Gozlan turned over A♣ K♣, and Rosen A♠ Q♣.  Underdown was ahead with 10 10♣, and after the turn (5) and river (4) ran out clean, he'd become one of the chip leaders.  His opponents would collect $860 for their finishes, while Underdown chipped up to 915,000.
