Sunday, December 10th: Day 2 Players Returning For Event #10, Crowning Two More Isle Classic Trophy Winners

ICYMI: What happens when the schedule reaches the final two flights of a $200,000 guaranteed event...you see the turnout that we did throughout the day yesterday.  Saturday's tournament action began at 11:00am, as players started arriving for Flight 1E of Event #10.  When there were already (60) entries in the first level, it was clear that the flight was going to be a little different than those that came before it.  Three hours into the day, the tournament clock would show over (170) entries, with the final number closing at (183).  While names like Steve McKoy, Michael Newman, TJ Shulman, and Dale Smith, were in the field at some point of the afternoon, they were unsuccessful in bagging for the flight.  A total of (25) players reached the bagging process, led by Kao Saechao (Damascus, OR), who bagged 298,500.  Also heading to Day 2 from the fifth flight of the tournament, were Ory Hen (215,500), David Inselberg (153,000), Sean Shah (148,000), and Nagui Yassa (105,000).

The action would continue into the evening, with the final flight of Event #10 (Flight 1F) getting underway at 6:00pm.  The pace of entry stayed strong throughout, and with the 121st entry into the flight, the $200,000 guaranteed number would be reached.  After registration closed, the tournament clock would show (144) entries, bringing the combined Event #10 total to (679).  Ray Nalbandian led the (24) players that reached the bagging process, packing away (335,000) for Day 2.  Stephen Caplan (291,000), Ido Ashkenazi (128,000), Maurice Hawkins (126,000), and Colby Colvington (105,000), were just some of the names also heading to today's action.

Just under one-hundred players will be returning this afternoon (at 12:00pm) for Day 2, ready to play down to a winner, and get their hands on the $39,860 first place prize.

Tournaments: Day 2 of Event #10 sees the (98) players returning to action at 12:00pm, with the levels transitioning from (30) minutes during the opening flights, to (40) minutes for today's Day 2.  Action is scheduled to play down to a winner, with (59) of the returning players reaching the money.  The official payouts for the event see a min-cash taking home $730, and first place walking away with $39,860 (and the event's trophy).

Event #11 of the Isle Classic begins at 6:00pm, and is a $100 No Limit Hold'em Deep Stack Turbo Bounty, which boasts a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The event is structured with 18,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (15) minutes throughout.  There is an optional add-on at the end of Level 10, seeing a return of 10,000 units for $25 (with 100% of the add-on money going towards the prize pool).

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that started back on November 1st, players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand!!!  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
