Level 10 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/6,000)
Total Entries: 141
Players Remaining: 32
Dominic Cruz (Dominican Republic) sitting comfortably, after knocking out Adam Koppel, and raking in a pot worth over 300,000. |
As mentioned earlier, there was a group of players just behind Alberto Niebla, all looking to assume the tournament's chip lead. On one of the last hands of Level 9, Adam Koppel (Wellington, FL) called a four-bet shove from Dominic Cruz (Dominican Republic), with the two vying for a pot worth close to 300,000. Koppel almost knew he was beat when he turned over Q♥ Q♠, and as advertised, Cruz followed by tabling K♣ K♠. The runout was nine-high, meaning Cruz's pocket kings would hold up, and he would grab a commanding chip lead (with over 600,000).
Registration will be closing at the end of this level, with the official payouts from the tournament to be published shortly thereafter.
