Al Gomez (Miami, FL) has made a habit lately of going deep in large field tournaments, and his confidence at the table is very much apparent.

Just a few weeks ago, Al Gomez (Miami, FL) and Flight 1A chip leader Scott Levitt were sharing the final table, during the $250 No Limit Hold'em event in the Hard Rock's Escalator Series.  They ended up finishing second and third (respectively) in a chop, with both earning over $30,000.  Now Gomez is looking to join Levitt atop the leaderboard, as he rockets into first chip count, with over 110,000.  Gomez already has over $40,000 in tournament cashes this year, and is once again putting himself in position to make a deep run.  Listed below, are some of the chip counts from across the field (tallied just after play resumed from break).
