Joshua Beckley (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) is just a week removed from his third place finish in the $560 No Limit Hold'em event, during the Hard Rock's Escalator Series ($44,043). |
The past week was a good one for former WSOP Main Event runner-up Joshua Beckley (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), as he earned two five-figure scores in a span of seven days. The good run started last weekend, when Beckley reached the final table of the $560 No Limit Hold'em event during the Hard Rock's Escalator Series. Joshua would enter three-handed play as the chip leader, but ran into a few tough spots, which ended up costing him a majority of his chips. He'd end up bowing out in third place, but got a pretty nice conciliation prize of $44,043.
Just a few days after the live tournament score, Beckley would earn just over $26,000 in an event online, finishing runner-up in a $1,000 No Limit Hold'em event. Since moving to Florida two years ago, Beckley has seen some nice tournament success here at the Isle Poker Room, with deep runs during the 2017 Florida State Poker Championships $1,500 Main Event, and the 2017 Isle Poker Open $1,500 Championship Event. Joshua arrived as part of a rush of entries, which included the following players:
Nancy Birnbaum
Daryl Jace
Dolphins Powers
Alex Nguyen
Matthew Lambrecht
Howard Charyn
