Johnny Chan (Las Vegas, NV) got off to a good start yesterday afternoon, but ended up getting eliminated shortly after dinner break.  Opposed to re-entering last night, he decided to get a night's sleep, and join the action before Day 2 started.

The storyline is no longer surprise when it happens, as we've seen numerous player buy-in on Day 2 of multi-flight tournaments (before the cards get in the air), and end up making super deep runs.  Most recently, Phillip Hui entered Event #9 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em) just before action began, and ended up finishing in third place ($31,755).  The (21) players to buy in before Day 2 started for this event are listed below, including the iconic Johnny Chan (Las Vegas):
