FSPC Event #9 (Flight 1D): Joshua Kay Rising After Late Arrival

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #9 | $1,100 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 9 (Blinds 500/1,000/1,000)
Total Flight 1D Entries: 95
Flight 1D Players Remaining: 64

Joshua Kay (Boca Raton, FL) steered clear of the WSOP for most of the summer, but is getting his tournament fix via this event, as well as next week's $1,500 FSPC Main Event.

Joshua Kay (Boca Raton, FL) was one of a few players to join the Flight 1D action after dinner, but he's made up for lost time pretty quickly.  A hand between Kay and Noe Acosta was caught on the turn, with the two heads-up on a board of A♠ 6♣ 7♠ 4♠.  Acosta had just check-raised Josh's 3,500 turn bet (to 7,200) when we approached, with Kay making the call.  Noe would then bet 6,000 after the J♣ fell on the river, with Kay taking some time, before announcing himself all-in.  Acosta would ask for an exact count, and after the dealer gave him an answer (35,300), Noe released his hand.

The former PCA title holder (2015 LAPT Bahamas Main Event) would rake in the pot, which brought his chip count to 53,000.

Joshua Kay - 53,000 (53bb)
Noe Acosta - 44,000 (44bb)
