Players are looking to turn a $75 buy-in into a potential five-figure score, as the cards get in the air for the first flight (of nine) for the "June $50,000 GTD."  Tournament Director Ralph Brandt will be making his first rules announcement of the week in just moments, and will make the "shuffle up and deal" announcement just after 11:00am.  Players in each flight will be sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000 units, and play (20) minute levels throughout the tournament.  Registration is open through eight levels each flight, which is just about three hours into the action.  The "chip leader bonus" is back, with $500 awarded to the top stack from each starting flight...

...Which will be a focus during live blogged coverage of the tournament, which begins with this post, and will continue through Flight 1A's bagging process.  The official end of flight chip counts will be posted for the afternoon and evening sessions, but the "in-depth" coverage will be offered to start the day.  Sunday's Day 2 will offer "full coverage," from the moment the cards get in the air, to the time the event's trophy is raised by the eventual winner.
