FSPC Event 14 (Day 3): Wong Loses Race To Burbick, Out In 8th Place ($7,653)

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 27 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/4,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 7/279

Jerry Wong (Brooklyn, NY) 8th Place - $7,653

Jerry Wong found himself on the wrong end of the three-way all-in earlier in the day's play, and had been grinding a stack well below average since that point.  After action folded to him, Jerry shoved for just under 300,000, with players folded behind one-by-one.  Action would be on Corey Burbick, who paused for a few moments, before announcing that he was all-in as well (for close to 800,000).  The blinds folded behind, and it would be Jerry's A♠ J♠ against the 8♣ 8 of Burbick.  The pocket eights would hold on the Q 7♠ 6♣ 2♣ 2 runout, and the former "November Niner" would become the event's 8th place finisher ($7,653).

Level 27 started moments ago, with blinds going up to 20,000/40,000/4,000, and a 817,000 chip average.  Updated counts will be posted in minutes.
