FSPC Event 7 (Day 2): Molina Wins The "Classic," Eliminates Scala

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 7 - $360 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 21 (Blinds 6,000/12,000/2,000)
Total Entries: 1,144
Players Remaining: 76/1,144

Homero Molina (Hollywood, FL)

"Can I get a clock," the dealer from Table 5 shouted, at Frank Scala's request, as he was waiting for Homero Molina (Hollywood, FL) to make a decision.  Scala was all-in pre for just over 200,000, which was for a majority of Molina's chips.  Just as Tournament Director Ralph Brandt made it to the table, Molina tossed in chips for a call, and the hands were tabled.

It would be the "classic race," with Scala holding A♣ K♠ against the Q♣ Q♠ of Molina.  The board would runout 4♣ 8 8♠ J♠ 8, and Homero would clench both fists in celebration, as he stood at the table.  Scala would be eliminated in 77th place ($876), while Molina chipped up to over 600,000.

Homero Molina - 618,000
