FSPC Event 7 (Day 2): Willis Sends Event 7 Field Into The Money

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 7 - $360 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 16 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Total Entries: 1,144
Players Remaining: 143/1,144

Dolline Willis (Plantation, FL)

The Event #7 money bubble was reached with 24:00 minutes remaining in Level 17, and would only last three hands.  On the third hand of the hand-for-hand procedure, William Navarro would be super short, and got his stack in pre against Dolline Willis, one of the largest stacks in the field.  Navarro was ahead when the cards were tabled, holding A Q against Willis's A♠ 3♣, but the runout would be cruel to the short stack (J10 9♠ 2♠ 3♠).  Dolline spiked a three-outer on the river, with Navarro storming away from the table in disgust.  No other players would be eliminated on that same hand, meaning Navarro would be the true "bubble boy."

The clock is running, and the cards are once again in the air, with everyone remaining earning at least $466.  The pay jumps occur every eight eliminations, until three tables remain, at which point it progresses every three eliminations (until the final table is reached).  Official results will be posted as each group of payouts is reached.
