FSPC Main Event (Day 3): Ruberto Busts Another Short Stack, Karp Out In 14th Place ($9,395)

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 20 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($500,000 GTD)
Level 23 (Blinds 12,000/24,000/4,000)
Total Entries: 548
Players Remaining: 13/548

Steve Karp (Dona, FL) 14th Place $9,395

Steve Karp (Dona, FL) was the shortest stack coming into the day, starting play with just seven big blinds.  While he managed to ladder one spot, his efforts of running that stack up were just halted by Tony Ruberto.  Karp's A♣ 10♣ found no help  against Tony's 9♠ 9, on a 4 5 8 4♠ K♣ runout, sending Karp home in 14th place ($9,395).

This would be Karp's first tournament cash post-WSOP, following cashes in six events during the series.  The money earned brings his career total over $1,400,000, with the cash his first at the Isle since Event #8 of the 2017 Battles At The Beach.  Tony has now increased his Day 3 starting stack by over 600,000, and has eclipsed the 2,000,000 chip mark.

Tony Ruberto - 2,100,000
Steve Karp - 14th Place $9,395
