Isle Open Event 1 (Flight 1E): McVay Lets His Play Do The Talking, Bags Flight 1E Chip Lead

2017 Isle Open | Event #1
$175 No Limit Hold'em | $100,000 GTD
Level 16 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Total Flight 1E Entries: 120
Flight 1E Players Remaining: 20

Flight 1E chip leader Bryce McVay is all smiles after earning an Event #15 seat worth $1,100.

Moments after posting Alan Saltzman's "shot call," he immediately dipped down below 150,000, leaving Bryce McVay as the only player above 200,000.  Bryce continued to pick up pots here and there, and before you knew it, he was pushing 300,000.  On the final hand of the flight, Rob Klassman had an opportunity to call a blind shove from Dolphus Powers, which would have given him the chip lead (had he called and won).  Klassman ended up folding his hand, sealing McVay's chip lead, and giving him the Event #15 seat ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em | $150,000 GTD).

The tournament staff is currently verifying the bags, with official chip counts from the flight to be posted once the process is completed.
