CPPT Event #1 (Flight 1A): As We Were Saying...Ido Ashkenazi Enters The Fray, Just Days Removed From Six-Figure Finish

2018 Card Player Poker Tour (Isle Casino Pompano Park)
Event #1 | $360 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 4 (Blinds 200/300/300)
Total Flight 1A Entries: 105

Ido Ashkenazi (Davie, FL) may not be sporting his patented mirrored sunglass at the table, but he is sporting a much "healthier" bankroll, after cashing for over $170,000 during the SHRPO series.

Jay Romano had a great SHRPO, but Ido Ashkenazi (Davie, FL) said "hold my beer."  Ido not only reached the final table of Event #1 (along with Romano), but he bookmarked the series with a final table finish in the $5,250 No Limit Hold'em Championship Event.  Ashkenazi ended up finishing in sixth place, which was good for $156,215, what stands as his second largest tournament cash.  The scores come just a few weeks after Ido's deep run in the FSPC $1,500 Main Event, where he would reach the final two tables of the event (17th place for $8,033).

Ashkenazi's career earnings are now over $735,000, with $500,000 of that number coming in the last three years of results.  Ido has some tough company at his opening table of the event, sharing the felt with Erik Christensen, Elliot Zaydman, Juan Martinez, Raminder Singh, and Tom Gity.

Players will be heading on their first break of the day at the end of this level, returning to blinds of 200/400/400 (Level 5).  There will then be four more levels of open registration, before the flight closes for the afternoon (no more entries once Level 9 play resumes).
