Just as one of the outer tables was breaking (Table 13), we'd pass Table 9, with Juan Martinez opening the action with a raise to 2,600. Action folded around to Erik Christensen, who three-bet shoved for just over 20,000. The remaining players folded behind, and after assessing his stack, Martinez would make the call:

Juan's hand would stay in the lead through the turn, but couldn't hold on, as Christensen rivered a straight. Erik is still below the chip average (58,000), but sits with a stack that is over thirty blinds. Christensen is just days removed from a deep run in the $5,250 No Limit Hold'em SHRPO Championship Event, where he finished in 30th place ($34,045).
