CPPT Event #1 (Flight 1A): Jackpot Flop Sees Scott Robbins Double Up Before Registration's Close

2018 Card Player Poker Tour (Isle Casino Pompano Park)
Event #1 | $360 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD)
Level 8 (Blinds 400/800/800)
Total Flight 1A Entries: 128

Scott Robbins (Millbury, MA) may have cost himself some chips by prematurely exposing his hand, but he was still able to double-up nonetheless.

At Table 13, three players would see a flop of 7♣ 7 7, with A. Nonymous quickly pushing his 30,000 stack across his cards (first to act).  Before the second player could even act, Scott Robbins tabled his hand (Q Q♣), eliciting a fold from the unknown player (who claimed to have had Ax Kx).  Robbins watched as his opponent table 8 8♠, which was a massive underdog heading to the turn.  The turn (10) and river (4) would run clean for Robbins, who stack was then counted down by the dealer.  His 24,200 would be matched by A. Nonymous, helping Scott eclipse the 50,000 mark.

While the premature exposure of his hand may have been a "rookie" move, Robbins is surely no newbie to the game. He is coming off a cash in both the $5,250 No Limit Hold'em SHRPO Championship Event (44th place for $17,333), and $1,100 No Limit Hold'em "Big 4" event (24th place for $4,544).

Scott Robbins - 51,000 (63bb)

Players will be heading on their second break of the day, at the end of this level, and will be returning to Level 9 (500/1,000/1,000).  Once play resumes after break, registration for the event will be closed, and we will be able to bring you official numbers from the opening flight of Event #1.
