Friday, October 19th: Weekend Action Begins With Third Pair Of Event #6 Flights, And "Super High Hands" This Evening (6:00PM-12:00AM)

ICYMI: Four flights down...and four flights to go, as we reach the homestretch of Event #6 ($360 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD).  The tournament's second day of action saw a combined total of (100) entries, of which (11) players bagged chips for Day 2.  When Francis Margaglione bagged 504,500 on Wednesday night, players thought it may be a number that was unreachable moving forward.  Then, Jason Thalas came along, and said "hold my beer."  Thalas ended up bagging 545,000 to end Flight 1D, leading the group that bagged chips from Thursday.  A full list of players to bag chips from Flight 1C and Flight D are listed below:

The combined numbers for the tournament now stand at (211) entries, of which (24) players are already headed to Sunday's Day 2.  The current prize pool sits at $63,300, and with the weekend flights beginning in just a few hours, that overall number is expected to reach $140,000.

Tournaments: Event #6 ($360 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD) has reached it's halfway point, with four flights remaining.  Two of those flights are on today's schedule, with Flight 1E at 11:00am, and Flight 1F at 6:00pm.  The structures mirror that of the flights that came before it, with 25,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (30) minutes (Level 1-13).  Registration is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows), with play scheduled to end at the conclusion of Level 16 (or if the field reaches the 10% mark).

Sandwiched between the pair of flights, is a $90 No Limit Hold'em Satellite Into Event #6, which guarantees 5 seats (and starts at 3:00pm).

Promotions: The high hand period runs from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

In addition to the "standard" high hands, from 6:00pm through 12:00am, players are eligible for the "Super High Hands." Players that make a qualifying royal flush, will be awarded up to $3,000, depending on what game they are playing (No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha are awarded the $3,000).  Players that make a qualifying straight flush, will be awarded up to $1,200, depending on what game they are playing (No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha are awarded the $1,200).  Full rules and payouts are posted in the poker room, and on social media (Twitter and Facebook).
