Isle Open Event #6 (Flight 1E): After Coming Within Arm's Reach Of The Event #3 Trophy, Daniel Diamond Returns To The Felt

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 4 (Blinds 200/300/300)
Total Flight 1E Entries: 42

Daniel Diamond (Plantation, FL) experienced the good side of variance this past Monday, as he rode his run good all the way to the Event #3 final table (eventually finishing second).

Earlier in the week (Monday to be specific), Daniel Diamond (Plantation, FL) returned to Day 2 of Event #3 ($100 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD) with 244,000.  That was a top twenty stack of those that returned, and from the moment he sat down, Diamond never found himself out of the top of the leaderboard.  He would quietly make his way to the final table, eventually finding himself heads-up with Joshua Beckley.  By that time, Diamond was feeling the fatigue of a long day, and offered Joshua an even chop (even though Daniel held the chip lead).  Beckley declined, and after close to an hour of heads-up play, Diamond fell to the former WSOP Main Event runner-up.  While he may have fallen short of his ultimate goal, Daniel did earn $15,785 for second place, which was more than double his career earnings coming into the tournament.

After a few days off, Diamond is back in action, sitting down at Table 4 during Level 2.  It's going to be hard to repeat that feat, but Daniel is focused on finding another Day 2 bag.

Players are going to be heading on the first break of the day at the end of this level, which signifies the midway point of open registration for Flight 1E.
