Isle Open Event #6 (Flight 1C): Ekin Falls Just Short Of First Circuit Ring, Trying To Record Three Final Table Results In A Row

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 6 (Blinds 300/500/500)
Total Flight 1C Entries: 44

Steven Ekin got heads-up for the WSOPC $250 NLH Seniors event, and although he was able to come back from being down 2:1 in chips, the tournament would flip in a matter of three hands.

One of the final events during the most recent WSOP Circuit series at Coconut Creek, was the $250 No Limit Hold'em "Seniors."  That particular tournament (seniors) usually attracts some surprisingly large fields, with this past $250 buy-in version seeing it's registration close with (278) entries.  Even though Steve Ekin bested (277) of those entries, he still couldn't help but be disappointed, falling just one spot short of his first WSOPC ring.  The runner-up finish in the tournament earned him $8,247, which sits as his third largest tournament cash.  It also helped Steve eclipse a tournament milestone, as he now has over $100,000 in lifetime earnings.

Ekin tops the second list of notables in today's field, which consists of the following names:

Ory Hen
Raminder Singh
Lawrence Klur
Kenneth Bruno
Gary Fitzgerald
Allan Bieler
Pedro Palacio
Timothy Morgan
Stanley Aufseeser
Mary Jane Forsythe
