Isle Open Event #6 (Flight 1C): Second Pair Of Starting Flights Headline The Schedule, With Flight 1C About To Begin

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 1 (Blinds 100/100)
Total Flight 1C Entries: N/A

After what seemed like a slow start to the tournament, it was a deceivingly strong day for Event #6 ($360 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD), which got underway yesterday afternoon.  There were a combined (111) entries during the opening pair of flights, with Flight 1A attracting (42) entries, and Flight 1B (69) entries.  Once both flights were completed, it would be Francis Margaglione (Davie, FL) leading the group, putting 504,500 in the bag to end Flight 1B.  Francis leads the (13) that have bagged chips for Sunday's Day 2, setting the bar extremely high, for the players that are going to play over the next three days.

We say yesterday was "deceiving," because it seemed as if things were off to a pretty slow start, but the prize fund ended up growing to $33,300 (which is well ahead of the pace needed to reach the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool).  The field sizes are expected to grow larger as we get closer to the weekend, with the largest numbers expected on Saturday.  Before that point is reached, we have another pair of starting flights today, beginning with Flight 1C.  The first hand for the tournament's third flight will be dealt in just seconds, with live updates being brought to you throughout the afternoon.
