Isle Open Event #6 (Flight 1C): Joshua Beckley Returns To Action, With A Goal Of Back-To-Back Titles

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 8 (Blinds 400/800/800)
Total Flight 1C Entries: 48

Joshua Beckley (Marlton, NJ) sits down to Table 2 with a 16,000 unit starting stack, newfound confidence...and a fresh new hair cut.

Just over three days ago, Joshua Beckley was putting himself in great position for a deep run in Event #3 ($100 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD).  Beckley started Day 2 with 137,500, which put him about square in the middle of the returning chip counts, but he was able to eclipse 1,900,000 just five levels into the day.  From there, Joshua used the big stack to his advantage, and basically cruised through the final table.  While the discussions of chop were brought up on a handful of occasions, Beckley felt it best for the event to be played out in it's entirety.  Even when Dan Diamond had Beckley out-chipped (during heads-up play), and offered an even split, Beckley still declined.  The decision was a wise one for Josh, who won the tournament outright, and earned himself $22,520.  Beckley entered today's action on the later side, with only one level remaining of open registration, but he still has his sights on finding a bag.

This is the last level of open registration, with players taking a ten minute break at the level's conclusion.  Once they return to Level 9, the numbers will be made official, and posted here in the blog.
