Isle Poker Classic Event #7 (Day 1B): Jorge Aristizabal Climbing Up The Leaderboard

2018 Isle Poker Classic (Event #7)
$1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event
$200,000 GTD
Level 8 (Blinds 400/800/800)
Total Day 1B Entries: 40
Day 1B Players Remaining: 24

Jorge Aristizabal (Coral Springs, FL) continues a trend that we've seen for the past few months...of players in the midst of their best tournament year (he currently has $56,802 in earnings for 2018).

Three players would limp for 600 at Table 3, with Mark Dube (from the button) then raising to 3,200, learning out the blinds (this was one of the final hands of Level 7).  UTG made the call, as did Jorge Aristizabal, and the third player to limp in front of Dube.  After the dealer fanned out a flop of 10♣ 54, action checked around to Dube, who continued for 5,300.  The player UTG put together a check-raise to 12,000, and tossed it across his cards.  He'd see resistance from Aristizabal, who then three-bet shoved, having a stack that covered everyone in the hand.  A. Nonymous and Dube both folded their hands pretty quickly, as did the UTG player, conceding the pot to Jorge.  Aristizabal chipped up to 135,000 with the uncontested pot, which puts him second on the leaderboard.

Jorge Aristizabal - 135,000 (168bb)
