Isle Poker Classic Event #7 (Day 1B): When The Coffee Suddenly Tastes "Burnt," Wiegreffe's Aces Cracked By Harry O'Brien

2018 Isle Poker Classic (Event #7)
$1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event
$200,000 GTD
Level 4 (Blinds 200/300/300)
Total Day 1B Entries: 32

2018 has been a special year for Harry O'Brien (Port St. Lucie, FL), who took third in the WSOP Circuit Main Event at Coconut Creek ($101,219).

A few hands before the end of Level 3, we would spot one of the first players in the Day 1B field all-in and at risk.  Jamie Wiegreffe had his 24,000 stack in front of his cards (which happened to be AA), with Harry O'Brien holding Q Q♣, and having Jamie covered.  Wiegreffe leaned back in his chair, and took a sip of his coffee, just as the dealer began the runout.  The Q♠ 2 6♠ flop definitely left a "bad taste" for Wiegreffe, who needed to find one of the two remaining aces to stay alive.  Neither would show up on the turn or river, and Jamie would exit the table.

With the sizable Level 3 pot, Harry O'Brien chipped up to 67,000, which looks to be one of the largest stacks across the tournament area.

Harry O'Brien - 67,000 (223bb)
