Isle Poker Classic Event #7 (Day 1B): Mitchell Mantin Can'y Fly Under The Radar In Florida

2018 Isle Poker Classic (Event #7)
$1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event
$200,000 GTD
Level 2 (Blinds 100/100/100)
Total Day 1B Entries: 19

Mithcell Mantin (Las Vegas, NV) may be able to go unrecognized at the tables (by other players), but he can't get by the blogger, who has covered many of his tournament cashes.

While Florida is a "hot-bed" for tournament poker (and poker in general), poker on the "left coast" originated in Atlantic City (and other places in the Northeast, like Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun).  When a notable player from up north comes down to play tournaments, they probably don't expect to get noticed by anyone.  That's not the case here at the Isle Poker Room though, as the blogger cut his teeth in the Northeast, covering tournaments at Borgata, Parx, and Maryland Live.

Mitchell Mantin (Las Vegas, NV) may be a name that doesn't ring a bell to those here in Florida, but t those properties listed above, he's a well-recognized notable.  Mantin has been recording results since 2003, and has amassed over $557,000 in lifetime earnings.  What stands out about that number, is that he reached over a half-million in earnings, without ever cashing in an event for over $63,233.  A lot of that can be attributed to his (67) final table cashes, and (15) five-figure scores.  Mitchell has over $44,000 in earning this year, highlighted by fifth place finish in the opening event of the WPT Deepstacks series at Maryland Live (worth $20,152).
