FSPC Main Event (Flight 1B): Phillip Hui Doubles Through Alex Hader

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 20 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($500,000 GTD)
Level 10 (Blinds 600/1,200/200)
Total Flight 1B Entries: 164
Flight 1B Players Remaining: 71

Phillip Hui (San Antonio, TX)

While collecting chip counts from the field, we happened to come across a hand between Phillip Hui and Alex Hader.  Hui was all-in with A A♣ on a Q 8 6 flop, with Hader having just tabled Q♣ 10 when the table was approached.  Hui was all-in for 45,600, and would be in line to cross the century mark, pending his pocket aces held up.  The turn and river would both run out clean for Hui, who chipped up to 108,000 in the hand, and left Hader with less than ten bigs.

Hui has an incredibly decorated tournament resume, with (95) recorded results since 2009, totaling over $1,345,000 in earnings.  While he does has some near final table misses here at the Isle Poker Room, Phillip is without a significant result in this poker room.  Having moved to Florida with his longtime girlfriend Loni Harwood, it's likely just a matter of time before Hui makes a deep run in a major event at the Isle.

Players are approaching their final break of the night, with some new names climbing up the leaderboard:

Joshua Jay - 160,000
Jonathan Borenstein - 145,000
AJ Gambino - 130,000
Andres Morales - 128,000
Jake Ozyman - 125,000
